Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Rundkammwalze (1) für eine Kämmmaschine, aufweisend eine drehbar um eine Walzenachse (10) aufnehmbare Rundkammwelle (11), weiter aufweisend einen auf der Rundkammwelle (11) aufsitzenden Kammträger (12), weiter aufweisend wenigstens ein auf dem Kammträger (12) angeordneten Segmentträger (13), an dem wenigstens ein Kämmsegment (14) angeordnet ist. Erfindungsgemäß ist die radiale Höhe wenigstens eines Kämmsegmentes (14) über dem Segmentträger (13), oder über dem Kammträger (12), oder über der Rundkammwelle (11) einstellbar. Die Erfindung betrifft weiterhin ein Verfahren zur Einstellung eines Spaltes (S) zwischen einer Rundkammwalze (1) und einer Unterzange (21) in einer Kämmmaschine.
