A cylinder liner assembly (118) for an engine (100) includes a plurality of cylinder liners (120). The cylinder liner assembly (118) also includes a mounting structure (126) attached to an engine block (102) of the engine (100). The mounting structure (126) is adapted to couple the plurality of cylinder liners (120) to the engine block (102). Further, the mounting structure (126) defines at least one opening (146) between at least two adjacent cylinder liners (120).
