[origin: WO2019072499A1] The invention relates to a rail vehicle comprising a bogie (2) in which a wheel set shaft (3) is spring-mounted so that the wheel set shaft (3) is rotatable about an axis of rotation (7) and the bogie (2) is a sprung mass relative to the wheel set shaft (3). A drive motor (8) for the wheel set shaft (3) acts on the wheel set shaft (3) via a clutch (9). The drive motor (8) surrounds the wheel set shaft (3). The coupling (9) is formed as a single-plane clutch. The drive motor (8) is directly connected to the clutch (9) and is suspended from the bogie (2) at a single point as considered in the direction (y) of the axis of rotation (7) of the wheel set shaft (3). The suspension of the drive motor (8) from the bogie (2) is such that it enables a movement of the drive motor (8) both in the direction (y) of the axis of rotation (7) of the wheel set shaft (3) and transversely thereto.
