[origin: GB2566290A] A firebrick 1 has an air supply path 6 which delivers a tertiary airflow to a combustion chamber (11, Fig. 3) of a stove (10, Fig. 3). An air mixing formation 4 in the air supply path induces swirling in the airflow to promote burning of smoke particles in the combustion chamber. The firebrick may have a plurality of air mixing formations. The air mixing formation may be a spiral channel integrally formed in the firebrick, and the channel may have a graduated depth. A front face of the firebrick may face a firebed in the combustion chamber. The air supply path may have an inlet 5 which receives tertiary air from a stove manifold (13, Fig. 3), and an outlet 7 delivering tertiary air flow above a firebed in the combustion chamber. A combustion enclosure part comprising curved feeding channels inducing rotational momentum to airflow exiting air supply outlets 7 is also claimed.
