Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2017220494A1] The invention relates to a casing (10) for coaxially receiving and fitting a cartridge (12) or a cartridge-like container on an ejection device (14) for ejecting a viscous compound, such as a sealing compound, adhesive or hot-melt adhesive, which is contained in the cartridge or the cartridge-like container, wherein at least one shell portion (16, 18) of the casing (10) is designed to be telescopic and wherein the telescopic portion (16, 18) has at least two tubular portions (16, 18) which are arranged coaxially to one another in certain portions and which are displaceable relative to one another in the axial direction. In order to simplify the processing of cartridges of different lengths with a high degree of reliability, there is provision that the tubular portions (16, 18) are inter-engaged via latching elements (34, 36, 52) and can be locked relative to one another in different positions, and that the first tubular portion (16) has a flange (40) with a coupling element (32) at a first end and can be releasably connected by the coupling element to the ejection device (14) directly or via an intermediate piece (20), and that the first tubular portion (16) has a sliding portion on which the second tubular portion (18), in the form of a sliding sleeve, is displaceable between a first locked position into at least one second locked position.
