[origin: WO2017220166A1] A shared digital calendar system for sharing calendars of individuals comprises a server computer system and at least two portable electronic devices. A plurality of groups of individuals are defined, and calendar entry data and calendar meta data are stored. The two portable electronic devices are configured to associate the calendar entry data with specific individuals of the group, define a plurality of view modes providing instructions for displaying calendar entry data, and display graphical representations of the calendar entry data associated with specific individuals of the group at dedicated parts of a graphical user interface according to either one of the view modes. CPU capacity load may be reduced by forwarding the entire database of a group to all members of the group upon change of any entry or metadata or any of the users in the group.
