[origin: WO2017220816A1] A method for simulating the total harmonic distortion of a loudspeaker, the method comprises performing a linear simulation or measurement to determine a real speaker displacement, performing a linear or non-linear lumped element model prediction, wherein the resulting speaker displacement of the lumped element model is adapted to correspond to the real speaker displacement by tuning an input voltage of the lumped element model, and performing a non- linear lumped element model prediction using the tuned voltage as an input voltage, thereby simulating the total harmonic distortion.
