[origin: EP3476959A1] The present invention relates to a magnesium alloy material and a method for manufacturing the same. An embodiment of the present invention provides a magnesium alloy material comprising 0.8 to 1.8 wt% of Mn, 0.2 wt% or less (excluding 0 wt%) of Ca and the balance of Mg and inevitable impurities, for a total of 100 wt%, wherein the magnesium alloy material has a recrystallized structure of 99 vol% or more for 100 vol% of the total microstructure of the magnesium alloy material.
