[origin: WO2019081231A1] What is presented and described is a WC basket (1) for fastening to a toilet bowl, in particular in the rim region thereof, having at least one chamber (4) which is formed by a chamber shell (5) and intended for accommodating a solid or gel-type active substance (2), wherein the chamber shell (5) has at least one opening (8) on the side which, in the use state, faces a wall (7) of the toilet bowl. There is provision according to the invention that the chamber shell (5) is designed in such a way that, in the use state, a throughflow duct (9) is formed between two bearing points (12) of the chamber shell (5) and the wall (7) of the toilet bowl, via which duct flushing water can enter the chamber (4) in an upper region (10) and can exit the chamber (4) in a lower region (11).
