[origin: WO2018002118A1] The invention relates to a setting tool for a drop-in anchor, comprising an expanding mandrel, which has a front end face for application to an expansion body of the drop-in anchor and a rear end face for receiving impacts. According to the invention, the setting tool has a probing sleeve, which displaceably surrounds the expanding mandrel, and the setting tool has an axial stop for the probing sleeve, which axial stop delimits a displacement of the probing sleeve towards the rear end face of the expanding mandrel, wherein the front end face of the expanding mandrel projects out of the probing sleeve when the probing sleeve rests against the axial stop. The invention further relates to a combination of such a setting tool having a drop-in anchor and to a method for setting a drop-in anchor using such a setting tool.
