[origin: WO2018010985A1] The invention relates to a method for preparing tobacco material (6), to prepared tobacco material (32), and to a device (2) for the tobacco processing industry. In a method for preparing tobacco material (6), the tobacco material is heated in a solvent, and solid components are separated from an extract which consists of solvent and the contents dissolved therein. The extract is agglomerated and dried in order to produce a porous tobacco agglomerate (28), and the solid components are dried. The porous tobacco agglomerate (28) and the dried solid components (20) are combined in order to form a prepared and granular tobacco material (32).
