[origin: JP2019113060A] To easily change a ballast gas amount which is supplied at each unit time by a simple method.SOLUTION: In a vacuum pump having a pump body (16), the inside of the pump body (16) is defined into a pump space, a ballast gas supply control valve is arranged in the pump space at the outside of the pump body (16), the valve has an air inlet port (46) and an air discharge port (48), a first channel and a second channel (58) are formed in the pump body (16), inlets (60) of the channels (58) are oriented to the valve, outlets of the channels (58) arrive at the pump space, the valve is adjustable between a first release state and a second release state, and the air discharge port (48) is adjusted by the inlet (60) of the first channel (58) in the first release state, and adjusted by the inlet (60) of the second channel (58) in the second release state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
