[origin: WO2018011296A1] The invention relates to compensating means for a speaker system, comprising a first speaker group with at least one sound transducer. The first speaker group is designed to generate a first sound signal on the basis of an audio signal, said sound signal comprising a useful signal component and a distortion signal component. The compensating means comprises a second speaker group with at least one sound transducer. The second speaker group is designed to generate a second sound signal on the basis of a compensation signal, said sound signal compensating for and/or reducing the distortion signal component upon being overlaid with the first sound signal.
