The gas distributor comprises at least one reinforcing member (34) located in the housing (46) defined in the elongate crossmember, the reinforcing member (34) comprising a central vertical plate (54) which extends longitudinally in the said housing (46) and at least one angle bracket (56) fixed transversely between the central vertical plate (54) and the lateral wall of the elongate crossmember.
