Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2018015657A1] The invention relates to an unfired heat and/or sound insulation product, made from mineral wool, advantageously glass wool, in the form of a mat comprising a layer of mineral wool sized with at least one binder, said sized layer having: - a basis weight, or grammage, less than or equal to 350g/m2, preferably less than or equal to 300g/m2, or even less than or equal to 250g/m2, and, optionally, greater than or equal to 200g/m2, - a micronaire of at most 3 under 5 grams, preferably at most 15 l/min, more preferably at most 12 l/min, and at least 9 l/min, and the mat having a thickness greater than or equal to 10mm, or even greater than or equal to 15mm, or even greater than or equal to 25mm. The aim of the invention is to offer a product for heat and/or sound insulation that is lighter while retaining satisfactory heat and/or sound insulation properties and good mechanical strength.
