[origin: US2019162512A1] A projectile including an ejectable cup intended to protect a base of the projectile from propulsion gases, the cup including a wall surrounding the base and extending to a position where the edge of the wall is pinched between a seal surrounding the body of the projectile and a collar, comprising an annular part centered on a first cylindrical seat having a first diameter. The first seat is separated from a second seat by a shoulder, the face of which is oriented toward the rear of the projectile, a gripping means pressing the seal against the annular part, which causes the radial expansion of the seal, pressing it against the edge of the cup.

L'invention porte sur un projectile (1) comportant une coupelle éjectable destinée à protéger un culot du projectile (1) des gaz propulsifs, coupelle comportant une paroi (5b) entourant le culot et s'étendant jusqu'à une position où le bord (5c) de la paroi (5b) est pincé entre un joint (8) entourant le corps du projectile (1) et une collerette (4), comprenant une partie annulaire (4a) centrée sur une première portée cylindrique (D1) ayant un premier diamètre (D1). La première portée (D1) est séparée d'une seconde portée (D2) par un épaulement dont la face (10) est orientée vers l'arrière (AR) du projectile (1), un moyen de serrage (13) presse le joint (8) contre la partie annulaire (4a) ce qui dilate radialement le joint (8), le plaquant contre le bord (5c) de la coupelle.
