Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2018020314A2] The invention is directed to a device (1) and to a method for aligning printheads (2) in relation to each other, each of the printheads being provided with a nozzle plate with multiple nozzles for printing, and with at least one round hole and/or at least one elongated hole in the nozzle plate for manufacturing and/or mounting purposes, comprising and using a mounting template for multiple printheads (2), wherein, for each printhead (2), at least one counterpart is provided, preferably in the form of pins that fit exactly into at least one round hole and/or at least one elongated hole in the corresponding nozzle plate, so that when the printheads (2) are inserted into the mounting template in such a way that the pairs of round hole counterparts and elongated hole counterparts engage the corresponding round holes and elongated holes in the nozzle plate, the nozzles of all printheads (2) are correctly aligned in relation to each other.
