[origin: WO2018024429A1] The invention relates to an engine assembly (1), which can be at least partially immersed in a body of water. The engine assembly (1) comprises a housing for an underwater module (6) of the engine assembly. Disposed in the region of the housing is a hollow cell (7), which is at least partially open in a lower region (8), whereas the lateral and upper regions of the hollow cell (7) are hermetically sealed, or can be hermetically sealed, and wherein the underwater module (6) can be disposed in the hollow cell (7). A largely dry running of the underwater module (6) is thus made possible. The underwater module (6) can be monitored during operation. Maintenance or repair work can be carried out on the underwater module (6) in dry conditions, without having to remove the engine assembly (1) from the body of water to do so.
