Abstract (en)

[origin: EP3493111A1] A biometric image processing apparatus includes: a touch panel and a biometric sensor configured to capture an image of a living body. Further provided are; a first calculation unit configured to calculate an amount of movement of the living body that moves on the touch panel while coming into contact with the touch panel; a second calculation unit configured to calculate an amount of movement of each region in images captured by the biometric sensor in a period in which the living body moves on the touch panel while coming into contact with the touch panel; and a detection unit configured to detect image noise in the captured images based on the respective amounts of movement calculated by the first calculation unit and the second calculation unit.
