[origin: WO2018029118A1] The invention relates to a method and to an arrangement for laterally aligning sheets which are conveyed in a conveying direction 2 to a sheet-processing machine, in which the sheets to be printed are detected in a starting position by means of a lateral pulling element, which is arranged beneath or in the feed table 1 and can be driven in time with the incoming sheets by a drive to form a lateral pulling movement, and are conveyed as far as a lateral alignment position. The sheet is detected by a sensor 15 in the lateral alignment position and measured in respect of lateral position and position over the feed table 1. A control valve 19 and a solenoid valve 12 for influencing an ejector element 13.2 for drawing in sheets to be aligned are driven by way of a control unit 16 by means of corresponding signals.
