Abstract (en)
[origin: GB2552795A] A receiver 200 which is capable of playing back audio, receives a first wireless signal comprising media. The media comprising a video component and an audio component. A component of the media is stored in a memory of a video playback device separate from the receiver. The video component of the media is then selectively played back using the video playback device at the same time that the audio component is relayed back to the receiver, such that playback of the audio and video components of the media are synchronised. The main embodiment comprises receiving video and audio data at a headset, storing said video and audio data in the headsets buffer memory, sending said video and audio data to a remote display, deleting the video and audio data from the headsets buffer memory, storing at least a component of the audio and video data at the remote display, sending the audio data back to the headset in response to playback request, transmitting the audio data back to the headset from the remote display while simultaneously displaying the video data at the remote display. The application is concerned with presenting pre-show videos to attendees at a music concert.
