[origin: WO2018036643A1] The invention relates to a method for controlling vehicle functions by means of a remote control system (15), in which signals are wirelessly transmitted between the remote control system (15) and a station (14) in the vehicle (10), and a data transmission rate depends on the distance between the remote control system (15) and the station (14) in the vehicle (10). According to the invention, the data transmission rate is determined. If the data transmission rate is below a defined threshold, the vehicle functions to be controlled are no longer carried out or only in a limited manner and/or the remote control system emits advisory signals.
