Die Erfindung betrifft eine Trommel 1 für ein Wäschebehandlungsgerät, umfassend einen Zylindermantel 2, welcher in Richtung der Breite des Zylindermantels 2 eine Naht 3 aufweist, und mindestens eine Seitenwand 4, wobei der Zylindermantel 2 an mindestens einem seiner Enden mittels eines Falzes 5 mit einer Seitenwand 4 verbunden ist, und wobei entlang des Falzes 5 ein den Falz 5 zumindest an einer Falzoberseite 6 bedeckendes Kunststoffteil 7 aufgebracht ist. Die Erfindung betrifft außerdem ein Verfahren zur Herstellung der Trommel 1 sowie ein diese Trommel 1 enthaltendes Wäschebehandlungsgerät.
