Die Erfindung betrifft eine Laborzentrifuge (1). Die Laborzentrifuge weist einen Zentrifugationsstrang (2) mit einem Antrieb (3) und einem von dem Antrieb (3) angetriebenen Rotor (4) auf. Der Zentrifugationsstrang (2) ist über mindestens eine Feder- und/oder Dämpfungseinrichtung (7) gegenüber einem Gehäuse (8) abgestützt. Die Erfindung schlägt vor, dass die Laborzentrifuge (1) einen Neigungssensor aufweist, welcher eine Ausrichtung einer Längs- und/oder Rotationsachse (6) des Zentrifugationsstrangs (2) erfasst. Der Neigungssensor kann ein Gyroskop-Sensor sein, der von einem Gehäuse des Zentrifugationsstrangs (2) gehalten ist. Möglich ist auch, dass der Neigungssensor einen Magnetfeld-Sensor und einen ein Magnetfeld erzeugenden Permanentmagneten (31) aufweist.
