Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2018042006A1] The invention relates to a method for producing a three-dimensional preform (5) using a draping device (13) comprising a matrix (14) and a draping punch (15a, 15b, 15c), wherein a stack (11) of height H of fibrous tissue is positioned in an open position of the draping device and compressed to an end thickness D. The method is characterised in that, during the draping, by means of a first draping punch, a second draping punch is positioned in a guide position at a distance A to the matrix, and in that, in the guide position, the second draping punch has a gap S between itself and the stack, wherein distance A = height H + gap S, where gap S > 0, or in that, in the guide position, the second draping punch compresses the stack by a compression K, wherein distance A = end thickness D + compression K, where compression K > 0 and compression K < height H - end thickness D.
