According to the invention, in order to modify the input device (20) in such a way that the input device has a longer service life, a groove (116), which is oriented parallel to the longitudinal axis (64) and into which the latching head (106) of the latching element (102, 104) permanently penetrates, is associated with the at least one latching element (102, 104), wherein the at least one latching recess (110, 112, 114) associated with the latching element (102, 104) is arranged in the groove (116). The invention further relates to an operating device (10) having such an input device (20).
