[origin: WO2018046253A1] A system is disclosed for transferring a utility vehicle (10) between a driver (12) and a management system (200) to operate the utility vehicle (10) autonomously within a limited range. The system comprises: a vehicle interface (110), which is designed to allow the driver to request transfer of the utility vehicle; a safety module (120), which is designed to establish a safe state of the utility vehicle; and a control module (130), which is designed to transfer the vehicle (10) between the driver (12) and the management system (200) when the driver (12) has requested the transfer and the safety module (120) has established the safe state.
