[origin: WO2018050635A1] The invention relates to a device (10) and to the use thereof for preheating at least one fluid. The device (10) has a solidly formed heating body (12). Channels (16) are formed in the heating body (12) for directing through the fluid. The heating body (12) can be heated. The heating body (12) is designed for heating the fluid to a target temperature within a target time, wherein the target temperature is at least one temperature at which a predetermined chemical reaction of the fluid occurs with a predetermined amount of conversion within a predetermined time. The target time is less than the predetermined time. The heating body (12) is heated for preheating the fluid to the target temperature and the fluid is directed through the channels (16) within the target time.
