Die Erfindung betrifft eine flexible Prägeplatte (70) für eine Bogendruckmaschine (50) zum Bedrucken und Prägen von Druckbogen zur Herstellung von Sicherheitselementen mit einer optisch variablen Struktur. Die flexible Prägeplatte (70) ist mit einem Plattenträger (80) und einem gegenüber der Oberfläche des Plattenträgers (80) erhabenen Plateau (82) mit einer Höhe zwischen 200 µm und 1000 µm ausgebildet, das mit einer feinstrukturierten Reliefstruktur (84) versehen ist, welche Strukturtiefen zwischen 20 µm und 250 µm und Strukturbreiten zwischen 20 µm und 1500 µm aufweist, und die linienförmige oder nicht-linienförmige Reliefelemente (86) enthält, die in einem ein- oder zweidimensionalen Raster wiederholt angeordnet sind. Die Erfindung betrifft auch ein Verfahren zum Herstellen einer derartigen Prägeplatte.
