[origin: WO2018055173A1] The invention relates to an applicator comprising a bristle carrier that has bristles (1) formed thereon, the surface of said bristles (1) being microstructured in at least some sections since, in the region of the microstructured surface, a plurality of grains (2, 3) project randomly from the bristle core (4), are connected to the bristle core (4) only along less than 40% and preferably less than 35% of their outer surface, and have an average diameter (ØM1, ØM2) of less than or equal to 125 μm and preferably less than or equal to 90 μm.
