Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2018054539A1] The invention relates to a sewing machine comprising stitch-forming tools, such as, for example, at least two needles which guide in each case a thread, for the production of seams (29, 30) by means of the stitch-forming tools which guide in each case a thread, the sewing machine (1) being provided with a sewing material transport (9), by which a feed of the sewing material relative to the stitch-forming tools can be carried out. The sewing machine (1) according to the invention further comprises a puller device (10) which is arranged behind the sewing material transport (9) in relation to the provided feed direction, said puller device (10) being provided with two or more rotationally driven rollers (11, 12), wherein the two rollers (11, 12) are provided for applying predetermined feed directions of the sewing material, in particular for applying curved feed directions instead of a linear feed direction of the sewing material. The aim of the invention is to achieve a reduction in the expenditure for producing geometrically different waistbands. In order to achieve said aim, it is proposed that the puller device (10) has a separate motor drive (15, 16) for each of the at least two rollers (11, 12), wherein the two motor drives (15, 16) can be actuated separately and independently of one another in order to provide the at least two rollers (11, 12) simultaneously with in each case a drive movement that is independent from the one of the other roller. The invention also relates to a method for sewing a waist to a piece of garment.
