Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Aufstellobjekts (150) auf Basis von fotografischen Bilddaten, die ein Nutzer (10) über das Internet (20) in digitaler Form auf eine bereitgestellte Datenbank (15) überträgt. Das herzustellende Aufstellobjekt (150) umfasst dabei ein transparentes oder transluzentes Glassubstrat (60), auf welchem eine das Bildobjekt (40) darstellende, eine Vielzahl von Bildpunkten umfassende Farbschicht (160) angeordnet. Weiterhin betrifft die Erfindung ein derartiges Aufstellobjekt (150), eine Gruppe derartiger Aufstellobjekte (150) sowie ein internetbasiertes System (1) zur Herstellung derartiger Aufstellobjekte (150).
