[origin: EP3517452A1] Provided is a synthetic resin container (1) in a bottle shape including a mouth (2) as a dispensing spout for a content medium, a trunk (4) extending contiguous to the mouth (2) via a shoulder (3), and a bottom (5) closing a lower end of the trunk (4), in which: the trunk (4) is provided with a reduced pressure absorbing portion (10) having a plurality of reduced pressure absorbing recesses (11) arranged side by side in the circumferential direction, and the reduced pressure absorbing portion (10) is formed in a barrel shape having an intermediate part diameter (R2) at an intermediate part in the vertical direction larger than an end diameter (R1) at either one of ends (10a, 10b) in the vertical direction.
