[origin: EP3521487A1] The invention relates to a method of threading a yarn (7) end into a traveller (4) on a ring (3) with a flange (30) at a spinning station of a ring spinning machine, in which the yarn end is sucked into a vacuum tube (A), by which the yarn end is guided into a position with respect to a bobbin and subsequently an oblique threading section (N) of the yarn end is created, which is placed at the flange (30) of the ring (3), this oblique threading section (N) of the yarn end being inclined at an angle (α) with respect to the horizontal plane, whereby the traveller (4) is set into motion by compressed air and is put onto the yarn end and the yarn end is threaded into the traveller (4) in the area of the threading section (N). The oblique threading section (N) of the yarn end is formed and positioned at the flange (30) of the ring (3) by at least one vertically situated positioning means (921, 922, 923). The invention also relates to a device for threading yarn (7) into a traveller (4) on a ring (3) with a flange (30) at a spinning station of a ring spinning machine.
