[origin: WO2018069297A1] Unit for cutting filters (26) associable with capsules (22) comprising a positioning device (44) configured to receive and guide at least a rod (40) made of filtering material pre-cut to size from which to make a plurality of filters (26), a cutting device (62) configured to cut at least a rod (40), sequentially making single filters (26), the length of which is a fraction of the length of the rod (40), a thrust member (52) able to cooperate with the cutting device (62) and configured to make the rod (40) advance along a cutting path (C) in steps coordinated with the cutting action in order to make single filters (26) from the rod (40), holding members (68, 69) associated with the cutting device (62) and cooperating with the positioning device (44). The invention also concerns a method for making filters (26) associable with capsules (22), a machine and the connected method, to make encapsulated articles (20).
