Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2018065006A1] Constant velocity universal joints are joints for transmitting an angular speed and a torque in a constant manner from one shaft to another shaft attached thereto at an angle. For example, constant velocity universal joints are used to transmit a drive torque from a motor to the wheels of a steered axle of a vehicle. The invention relates to a tripod roller (9) for a constant velocity universal joint (1), comprising an inner ring (11) and an outer ring (12) as rings, said rings (11, 12) being arranged coaxially to a tripod roller axis T, and a plurality of rollers (13), said rollers (13) being arranged so as to roll between the rings (11, 12). At least one of the rings (11, 12), in the form of a securing ring, has a securing region (24; 24a, b), wherein the securing region (24; 24a, b) is designed as an embossed region and/or caulked region, said securing region (24; 24a, b) axially securing the other ring (12, 11) or at least one of the rollers (13) in a form-fitting manner as a securing partner.
