Abstract (en)

There is provided a sensor mounting structure for a sensor having a detection surface (612; 712) configured to detect information around a vehicle (100). The sensor mounting structure includes an exterior member of the vehicle (100) provided with an opening (41; 64; 72; 202a; 402a; 501) that is provided to be wider than an outer shape of the detection surface (612; 712), and a cover (63; 201; 301; 401) disposed around the detection surface (612; 712) to close a space between an outer peripheral edge of the detection surface (612; 712) and an opening edge of the opening (41; 64; 72; 202a; 402a; 501). The opening (41; 64; 72; 202a; 402a; 501) is provided such that then opening edge of the opening (41; 64; 72; 202a; 402a; 501) is disposed around the detection surface (612; 712) with a space between the opening edge and the detection surface.
