Abstract (en)

[origin: CN110158293A] An appliance for drying laundry has a process air system, a heat pump, a condensate basin, a condensate container, a condensate pump, and a flush valve. The aim of the invention is to provide a more efficient possibility for cleaning a condenser of the heat pump. The appliance comprises at least one valve unit connected between the condensate pump and the condensate container, at least one flushing unit connected with the valve unit and used for flushing the condenser of the heat pump, and an electronic control device used for controlling the condensate pump, the flush valve and the valve unit; the valve unit is configured such that it connects the condensate pump to the condensate container in a first switching position and connects the condensate pump to the flushing unit in a second switching position; the electronic control device is used for controlling the condensate pump, the flush valve and the valve unit; therefore, at the moment that the condensate pump is not activated, theflush valve is opened for a predetermined period of time when the valve unit is switched into the second switching position and before the condensate pump is activated, wherein the period of time endsbefore the valve unit is switched into the second switching position and before the condensate pump is activated.
