[origin: WO2018072798A1] The present invention relates to a bed post for bunk and loft beds. The bed post comprises a bottom part, and/or a bed rail connecting part, and a bed frame connecting part. The bottom part or the bed rail connecting part, and the bed frame connecting part are connected in line by an elongate member adapted for being positioned partly within a channel of the bottom part or the bed rail connecting part, and partly within a channel of the bed frame connecting part. The elongate member comprises a first part and a second part. The first part comprises a bolt or screw hole, which runs transversely to the longitudinal direction of the first part, and a threaded channel, which runs parallel to the longitudinal direction of the first part. The second part comprises a bolt or screw hole, which runs transversely to the longitudinal direction of the second part, and a threaded shaft adapted to engage with the threaded channel of the first part. The bottom part of the bed post comprises a bolt or screw hole, which runs transversely to the longitudinal direction of the bottom part, and terminates in the channel of the bottom part. The bed rail connecting part of the bed post comprises a bolt or screw hole, which runs transversely to the longitudinal direction of the bed rail connecting part, and terminates in the channel of the bed rail connecting part. The bed frame connecting part of the bed post comprises a bolt or screw hole, which runs transversely to the longitudinal direction of the bed frame connecting part and terminates in the channel of the bed frame connecting part.
