[origin: WO2018078226A1] The invention relates to a motor vehicle (1) comprising, on at least at one side laterally to a longitudinal axis of said vehicle: a front wheel; a generally vertical profile member, referred to as A-pillar (5), located to the rear of the front wheel; a transverse wall, referred to as wheel arch (7), adjacent to the A-pillar (5), and defining the passenger compartment of the vehicle (1); a reinforcement (9) attached to the A-pillar (5) and to the wheel arch (7), and configured to interfere with the front wheel and to limit an intrusion of said wheel into the passenger compartment in the case of a frontal crash on the portion of the vehicle (1) aligned with the front wheel; characterised in that the or each reinforcement (9) comprises a generally flat central portion (9A) extending transversely along the A-pillar (5) and the wheel arch (7).
