The handbag may include an exterior surface that has an interchangeable-component-accepting region adapted for acceptance of an interchangeable component. The interchangeable-component-accepting region may including a first half of an attachment mechanism adapted for cooperation with a corresponding second half of the attachment mechanism positioned on an interchangeable component. The interchangeable component may include a piece of material with the exterior edge, the piece of material may be sized and shaped to fit into the interchangeable-component-accepting region and attached thereto via cooperation between the first and second portions of the attachment mechanism.
