[origin: WO2018081844A1] A silo for gassing bulk material is described. The silo comprises a container for receiving bulk material having an inlet and an outlet and a valve slide which is arranged in the container between the inlet and the outlet and is designed to allow a predefined amount of bulk material to flow per unit time in the flow direction from the inlet to the outlet. The silo additionally comprises a gas inlet opening which is arranged on the container between the valve slide and the outlet, and gas flows through the container substantially counter to the flow direction of the bulk material.
