Abstract (en)

A vehicle lamp includes a first light emitting chip for a low beam, a plurality of second light emitting chips for a high beam, aligned in a horizontal direction, a lens to illuminate forward light from the first and second light emitting chips, a reflector to reflect light from the first light emitting chip toward the lens, and a shade to partially block light reflected by the reflector, wherein the lens includes upper and lower incident surfaces respectively vertically above and below a basic optical axis passing a rear basic focal point of the lens, the upper incident surface has a shape with radius increasing from the basic optical axis toward an outer edge, and the lower incident surface has a shape with radius increasing from a center toward an outside in the horizontal direction, and with a linear vertical cross section.
