[origin: WO2018087211A1] The invention relates to an electrical contact element having a contact pin and a resilient clamping element which is fastened to the contact element and has a clamping spring arm for making clamping contact with a stranded conductor end between the clamping face of a contacting section of a terminal block of a contact element and the clamping spring arm. The clamping element has at least one retaining arm having an end gripping section to fasten the resilient clamping element interlockingly to the terminal block of the contact element. The electrical contact element is characterised in that the outer contour of the contact pin is cylindrical with a round or polygonal cross-section in the fastening region of the contacting section.
