[origin: WO2018086769A1] The invention relates to a charging station foundation, comprising an entrance for an energy supply line and a cavity for holding charging electronics, wherein the entrance is led from an outer wall of the foundation to an inner wall of the cavity. In order to increase the reliability of charging infrastructure, according to the invention, charging electronics, at least comprising a circuit breaker and a charging controller, are arranged in the cavity in such a way that the charging electronics are protected according to degree of protection IPxy, with x ≥ 6 and y ≥ 6, preferably y ≥ 8, according to DIN EN 60529.
