According to the invention, the sealing strip (1) comprises a structural element (12) which preferably extends over the majority of the length of the sealing strip (1), is arranged at least partially in the main body (1), and is made of a dimensionally stable material, by which the sealing strip (1) can be mechanically loaded and can be pressed into the joint (7).

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Dichtstreifen (1) zur Abdichtung von Fugen (7) vorzugsweise im Baubereich, insbesondere zur Abdichtung von Fugen zwischen Fenstern oder Türen (9) und einem Mauerwerk (8), mit einem länglichen und vorzugsweise keilförmigen Grundkörper (11), welcher durch zwei vorzugsweise zueinander symmetrische Wangenseiten (111, 111') und zumindest eine Stirnseite (112) begrenzt und aus einem verformbaren Material, vorzugsweise einem Schaumstoff, gefertigt ist.Erfindungsgemäss umfasst der Dichtstreifen (1) ein sich vorzugsweise über den Grossteil der Länge des Dichtstreifens (1) erstreckendes und zumindest teilweise im Grundkörper (1) angeordnetes Strukturelement (12) aus einem formstabilen Material, durch welches der Dichtstreifen (1) mechanisch beaufschlagbar und in die Fuge (7) eindrückbar ist.
