Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2018091731A1] The invention relates to an apparatus for training a person's lower and/or upper extremities, comprising at least two motion elements (1, 2), which are arranged on a base element (3, 4), wherein the motion elements (1, 2) each have an axis of rotation (13, 14), around which an actuating element (21-25) can be moved. The motion elements (1, 2) here are movable, each independently of the other, relative to the base element (3, 4) about a first movement axis (7, 8), wherein the first movement axis (7,8) runs substantially perpendicularly to a surface-area extent (9, 10) of the base element. The invention is characterized in that each motion element (1, 2) has a dedicated drive in order to rotate the actuating element (21-25) about the axis of rotation (13, 14), and in that the apparatus has a control element (19), which can activate each drive individually in order to provide for movement of each drive independently of movement of another drive. The invention also relates to methods for using such an apparatus.
