[origin: WO2018091141A1] A method according to the invention for measuring a movement axis (qr; qt of a robot (10) which has a robot arm (11), comprises the steps: - approaching (S10) a point (P) with the robot arm by moving the robot arm into a first pose, wherein the movement axis has a first position (q1); - adjusting (S30) the movement axis into at least one further position (q2, q3; q5) and approaching the point (P) with the robot arm by moving the robot arm into a further pose, wherein the movement axis has this further position; and - determining (S40) an orientation (D) of the movement axis on the basis of the poses of the robot arm.
