[origin: WO2018095578A1] The invention relates to a material for a bone implant, comprising (a) a carrier structure having a surface that comprises at least one biocompatible material; (b) a matrix covalently bound to said surface; and (c) calcium phosphate embedded in said matrix. A medically acceptable, highly compatible and versatile material can be provided, if the matrix has at least one polysaccharide (formula (I)).
