[origin: WO2018095639A1] The invention relates to a steering gear for a steering system of a motor vehicle, comprising: a housing (1); a toothed wheel (2); a pinion (3) meshing with the toothed wheel (2); and a pinion shaft (4) comprising the pinion (3); the pinion shaft (4) being mounted on one side of the pinion (3) in a fixed bearing (6) comprising a rotary bearing in which the pinion shaft (4) is received and which is received in a bearing sleeve (14), and the fixed bearing (6) further comprising a pivoting ring (15) comprising an outer ring (18) and an inner ring (16) which are pivotably interconnected by means of at least one torsion bar, the inner ring (16) being connected to the bearing sleeve (14) or built into same and the outer ring (18) being arranged in the housing (1) in a fixed manner. The pinion shaft (4) is mounted on the other side of the pinion (3), in a floating bearing (8) comprising a rotating bearing in which the pinion shaft (4) is received, a radial mobility inside the housing (1) being ensured for the rotary bearing, and the bearing sleeve (14) and/or an outer bearing ring (11) of the rotary bearing of the fixed bearing (6) is connected to an outer bearing ring (11) of the rotary bearing of the floating bearing (8) by means of a connecting element (36).
